This encaustic original shows a starfish cast onto an ocean beach by rolling waves. The piece was created using glittery metallic wax, so it catches the light when viewed from different angles. The three-dimensional surface has been coated to retard fading from UV rays. It is framed in a black wood frame with a white mat. The frame has both an easel back and two other hanging devices. The artwork itself is approximately 6.5" x 4.5". The frame is 9" x 11". The watermark shown on the product photo does not appear on the artwork.
